No. 25 UNLV ranked for the second time this season

The UNLV women’s basketball team has jumped back into the Associated Press Women’s Basketball Top 25 at No. 25 in today’s release. This is the second time this season the Lady Rebels have been ranked and the second consecutive season UNLV has been ranked at least twice in the AP poll.

The Lady Rebels have a 12-1 overall record and have started Mountain West play 2-0 for the third straight season under head coach Lindy La Rocque. UNLV has now won 26 straight games over conference foes, including the most recent 83-78 victory over Colorado State on Saturday, Jan. 6.

UNLV first made its way into the Top 25 AP during week 7 of the season, coming in at No. 23, but fell out the following week. The Lady Rebels have continued to receive votes since falling out and came into the season receiving votes in both the USA Today Coaches’ and Associated Press Top 25 Preseason Polls. UNLV has also been predicted to win the MW league title for the third straight season.

The Lady Rebels will be back on home court on Wednesday, Jan. 10 to host San Jose State. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
