MLE competitors to battle for champion title and $10,000 in prize money
Joey Chestnut, the number-one-ranked competitive eater in the world, will defend his world bagel-eating title against the world’s top-ranked Major League Eating athletes at the third-annual Siegel’s Bagelmania World Bagel Eating Championship at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Major League Eating competitors will return to Las Vegas’ iconic Jewish delicatessen Siegel’s Bagelmania, located at 252 Convention Center Dr., to battle for the championship title and belt as well as a share of $10,000 in prize money.
Last year, Chestnut took the championship belt after eating 15 bagels with cream cheese, edging out the number-three-ranked eater Geoffrey Esper, who consumed 14.5 bagels and the number-four-ranked James Webb, who ate 13.
Top-ranked competitive eaters in attendance at the 2025 event will include:
- Number-one-ranked Joey Chestnut from Indianapolis, Ind.
- Number-two-ranked Patrick Bertoletti from Chicago, Ill.
- Number-three-ranked Geoffrey Esper from Oxford, Mass.
- Number-four-ranked James Webb from Sydney, Aus.
- Number-six-ranked Nick Wehry from Tampa, Fla.
- Number-seven ranked Gideon Oji from Morrow, GA
- Number-fifteen ranked George Chiger from Pocono Pines, PA
