Credit One Bank Reflects on a Remarkable Year of Giving Back in 2024

Bank employees personally donated almost $20,000 to a variety of worthy causes

Throughout 2024, Credit One Bank, a leader in the U.S. credit card industry and a pillar in the Las Vegas community, invested more than $6.5 million in the community. That figure includes charitable donations of time, effort and money to 30 different Las Vegas-based organizations, and one organization outside of Nevada. This continues the Bank’s long-standing commitment to serve and give back to the Southern Nevada community through donations of time, resources and funding.

“At Credit One Bank, we take pride in being a member of the Las Vegas community and take our commitment to that community seriously,” said Credit One Bank Community Reinvestment Officer Lenny Chide. “It is a pleasure working with partners, like the Maxx Crosby Foundation and the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, as well as with the numerous nonprofits who do such a great job helping those in need throughout Southern Nevada.”

Credit One Bank’s philanthropic efforts center around the company’s three pillars of giving: affordable housing and homelessness, employment services, and financial education. In 2024, Credit One Bank’s donations ranged from $25,000 to $560,500, supporting organizations such as Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY), Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada, Opportunity Village, U.S.VETS, HELP of Southern Nevada, YMCA of Southern Nevada, and more.

As always, employees throughout the Bank participated in fundraising and volunteer initiatives during the year. Credit One Bank employees personally donated $19,590, volunteered a total of 2,816 hours, impacted 408 lives through blood donations, served 5,859 meals, and donated 8,819 toys, school supplies and more to children in need. Credit One Bank leaders serve on an array of nonprofit boards in Southern Nevada, including Opportunity Village, HELP Of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Green Our Planet and more.

In addition to grants provided to nonprofits, Credit One Bank supports its local community through direct impact investing in partnership with Community Capital Management (CCM)In 2024, the Credit One Bank Community Reinvestment Program invested over $14.5 million to address the critical issue of affordable housing in Southern Nevada. The CCM fund provides financial support creating a positive impact on low-to-moderate income families in obtaining a home.

2024 saw the continuation of the Bank’s innovative Number One Fan program, which surprises families and individuals with VIP access to their favorite sports teams. Credit One Bank leveraged its corporate partnerships to create memorable experiences, like bringing veterans on the field for the national anthem and flag ceremony before Las Vegas Raiders games at Allegiant Stadium. The initiative also provided opportunities for childhood cancer survivors and their families to participate in pre-game parades at Vegas Golden Knights games, and gave teens supported by NPHY a night at the ballpark for a Las Vegas Aviators game.

The Bank also celebrated the fourth year of its ‘One For The Community’ program, donating $50,000 to both the YMCA of Southern Nevada and the Maxx Crosby Foundation. Through its One For The Community Scholarship program, the Bank gave scholarships to 15 low-to-moderate income household students, each of whom received an initial $2,500 for their first year of higher education. The recipients are also eligible to continue receiving yearly scholarships for up to four years granting each student a potential total of $10,000.
