YANOVSKA NAMED MOUNTAIN WEST DIVER OF THE WEEK
UNLV diving senior Vika Yanovska has been named the Mountain West Diver of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
A native of Nikolaev, Ukraine, Yanovska recorded two event victories and set a program record at the Riverside Diving Invitational. On the opening day of the two-day meet, Yanovska won the 1-meter competition with a final score of 318.00. Additionally, she won the 3-meter dive with a 339.50 in the finals. On the final day, Yanovska broke the school record on platform with a score of 257.65 during prelims.
UP NEXT: The UNLV men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will return to action at their annual UNLV Finis Invitational, which is set for Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 16-18.
