Wine Lovers Across Las Vegas Rejoice:
Must-Experience Wine Destination Wineaux
 Officially Opens Doors

Now open at Southwest Las Vegas’ new UnCommons campus across from Durango Casino & Resort,  Wineaux welcomes wine enthusiasts to take in a passionately curated wine bar and retail experience.

Wineaux, the highly anticipated “wine market, bar and escape” from James Beard Award-winning Chef Shawn McClain, Master Sommelier Nick Hetzel and restaurateurs Richard and Sarah Camarota, officially opened its doors on Saturday, Feb. 24. Located at UnCommons, Southwest Las Vegas’ vibrant new urban campus across from Durango Casino & Resort, Wineaux is now open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday; and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Wineaux’s collection is designed to entice guests to explore and discover great wines, celebrating the best of the classics and finding new personal favorites. Well-versed wine buyers looking to source rare, allocated selections and special wines for their collections will also appreciate Wineaux’s extensive options to choose from. The retail experience is guided by Wineaux’s expert staff, who guide guests through the discovery of new wines, either by the glass or bottle, for any mood, occasion, pairing or price point. The dynamic and diverse collection ranges from rare icons such as Egon Müller to new finds like Champagne producer Jean Josselin. Wineaux’s collection is carefully overseen by Hetzel, a long-time collaborator with McClain and the Camarotas dating back to their collaboration at the iconic restaurant, Sage at Aria.

Created by McClain, Wineaux’s menu invites guests to pair their wines of choice beautifully with several shareables, snacks and small plates. Highlights include the plateau fruits de mer, which includes prawns, hamachi and caviar, oysters, and Dungeness crab; a sakura smoked ham sandwich, made with comté cheese, aioli, tomato conserva and wild arugula; beef tartare, served with salsa macha, pickled onion, olive and Tokyo turnip; West Coast oysters, served with a cucumber kosho mignonette; chopped chicories, served with gorgonzola dressing, toasted walnuts, pear and aged balsamic; and for dessert, a dark chocolate pot de crème, among others.

The retail space features chilled bottles of white and sparkling wines and a takeaway counter showcasing charcuterie, smoked salmon, gourmet cheese, caviar and other tasty luxuries. Wineaux also offers a curbside pickup service.

Wineaux’s intimate, boho-chic vibe sets it apart and establishes it as a truly unique retail and social destination. Spanning 2,500 square feet of mixed retail and space for dining and drinking, Wineaux offers a mix of lounge-style seating, traditional tables, a 10-seat bar and the tasting table, which is surrounded by multi-tiered presentations of Wineaux’s robust wine collection and seats 12. Finishes are adorned with natural woods and layers of stonework, with modern “bubble” chandeliers overhead.  Wineaux will introduce its 600-square-foot outdoor patio next year.
