Wax Rabbit, the award-winning cocktail lounge hidden within the walls of Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant at Durango Casino & Resort, is turning up the heat this month with two nights of turntable magic from selector spinning vinyl. The disco-infused “Paradise Fever Is for Lovers” will set the dance floor ablaze starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, and Back2Back will spin a masterclass in vinyl collaboration starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. Paradise Fever returns with DJ Neek Lopez, joined by Farika, for an all-vinyl sonic journey through house, disco and Latin rhythms, starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11. Known for curating electrifying sets and dynamic soundscapes, Lopez will set the tone while Wax Rabbit’s expert bartenders shake up bold, handcrafted cocktails to match.
Back2Back brings the thrill of a live selector exchange to the Wax Rabbit turntables, featuring two or more artists sharing the decks and flipping tracks in real time. Kicking off at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, Eddie Mac and Jkrazy will drop the hottest vinyls in their collections, delivering a seamless fusion of sounds and styles that evolve with each track. The high-energy sets will celebrate the art of mixing to create an immersive and nostalgic experience. Pernod will also offer a menu of exclusive libations adding to the unique experience, including flavorful libations.
