Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association Poker Tournament with Deryk Engelland, 10.13
Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association is proud to announce their first charity poker event in partnership with the Charity Series of Poker. Dubbed “Poker Knight” the $400 buy-in event with $100 rebuys will take place at View Nightclub at the Palms on Friday, October 13, 2023.
“Poker Knight” will begin with a silent auction and cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres at 4:30 p.m. PT. Beginning at 6 p.m. PT, players can compete in a Turbo Texas Hold’Em tournament to win the grand prize of a $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event seat. There will also be other final table and silent auction prizes along with a 50/50 cash raffle. Guests who aren’t interested in playing can still attend for a $100 donation.
VGK/NHL Alumni Deryk Engelland, Shane Hnidy, Paul Stastny, Darren Banks are expected to attend in addition to the broadcast team of Darren Mallard, Darren Eliot, Gary Lawless, JF Jomphe, Randy Burridge, Rod Buskas, and Dave Goucher. Raider Alum Lincoln Kennedy is also expected to attend along with a slew of poker pros and other celebrities.
All net proceeds from the event will benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association. The VGKAA has identified three main areas to dedicate their efforts: first responders, under-served youth, and assistance for the undernourished community.
