PROFESSIONAL ULTIMATE FRISBEE TEAM VEGAS BIGHORNS HOLD 2025 OPEN TRYOUTS ON FEBRUARY 1 & 15
Open tryouts for the Bighorns, Las Vegas’ professional Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) team, will be held next weekend at Charlie Frias Park, located at the cross streets of Tropicana and Decatur in Las Vegas, Nev. Many have dreamt of becoming professional athletes. Now, they can test their skills against some of the world’s top professional frisbee players.
Tryouts will feature the sport’s best professional ultimate frisbee players, including talent from the highest levels of competition. Athletes vying for a spot on the Bighorns roster have track records for winning at the college, club, and professional levels of sports.
A second tryout session had to be scheduled for February 15, 2024, because one day was not enough. “Our first day of tryouts surpassed capacity in less than a week. So, a second opportunity is truly backed by popular demand. Seeing our first events sell out this fast is a great sign” said team owner James Shorey. He also shares his enthusiasm for finding local talent, “[T]here are so many incredible athletes in Las Vegas. Ultimate Frisbee joins the best of basketball, football, soccer, and other sports. I know there are homegrown stars and hope they try out, eventually finding a spot representing our town on our team.”
