Corner Bar Management, the group behind some of the city’s most popular nightlife venues, invites locals and visitors to chill out on East Fremont during the weeknights with oyster happy hours at Peyote, special cocktail offerings and a dog adoption event at DISCOPUSSY, and the return of Techno Taco Tuesday at La Mona Rosa.

Peyote, Corner Bar Management’s retro desert oasis restaurant located at 1028 Fremont St., will invite guests to enjoy a weekly oyster happy hour, starting Thursday, Aug. 17. Guests may enjoy a variety of oysters paired with white wine as recommended by Peyote’s master mixologist, Sonia Stelea. Oyster selections include La Bufadora style, a trio of grilled oysters with salsa Negra, pico de gallo, and topped with Monterey jack cheese for $10, with the option to add grilled shrimp for an additional $3; Drunken Fried Oysters: three beer battered oysters topped with spicy mayo, pickled onion, micro cilantro and salsa bendita for $9; Nude Oysters, a trio of fresh shucked oysters with a choice of two sauces, including aguachile verde, Michelada granita, leche de tigre, salsa Negra, mojo verde or salsa bendita, for $8. The happy hour menu will be available every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch and 5 to 10 p.m. for dinner; and on Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 17, DISCOPUSSY will host Techno Pets, a paw-ty and techno show with a purpose. From 8 to 10 p.m., Vegas Pet Rescue Project and Hearts Alive Village will showcase a variety of furry companions ranging from playful puppies to seasoned seniors, all eagerly waiting to find their fur-ever families. Featuring a vendor market, raffles and specialty Deep Eddy cocktails. At 10:30 p.m., the after party will begin with sounds by DJ and Producer JUHEUN. Corner Bar’s warehouse-style nightclub DISCOPUSSY, will introduce Open Wide on Thursday, Aug. 24. From 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., music by Las Vegas favorites The Trash Pandas will fill the air with open format, hip hop and trap, while $4 “you-call-it” drink offerings will fill glasses. Those looking for great beats and eats can head down to La Mona Rosa for the return of the underground techno staple Techno Taco Tuesday. Located at 100 S 6th St., La Mona Rosa’s celebration of tacos and tunes will bring rare international and underground artists to La Mona Rosa’s bespoke DJ booth to spin unique and original sounds not found on the Strip. Techno Taco Tuesday will take over La Mona Rosa each week, with headliners including Course Control, Dirty Harry, Rob Fernandez and Bad Beat on Tuesday, Aug. 15; Sol, CPR and Bad Beat on Tuesday, Aug. 22; and Aerial Grey and Bad Beat on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
