Shannon Elizabeth Foundation to Host First Charity Poker Event in Partnership with the Charity Series of Poker

The Shannon Elizabeth Foundation (SEF) announces partnership with the Charity Series of Poker to host their first annual poker fundraiser in Las Vegas on July 3, 2024!

Actress, conservationist, and animal activist Shannon Elizabeth is no stranger to the poker world and has run her charity since 2001. So, bringing her worlds together was a natural progression for her, yet something she had never brought to Vegas before…until now.

In partnership with poker pro Matt Stout and his organization, the Charity Series of Poker, they will be hosting the “1ST ANNUAL RHINO RUMBLE CHAMPIONSHIP” at the Stirling Club at Turnberry Place. The evening will be complete with not only poker, a raffle, and prizes but also incredible auction items, including a luxury safari in Botswana and a trip to SEF’s Khusela Endangered Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet their blind, severely endangered, black rhino, Munu.

Wildlife art enthusiasts will get an early look at the unveiling of Shannon Elizabeth and husband Simon Borchert’s photography under the label Untold Africa. Four of their limited-edition images will be available to buy and collect for the first time ever.

The red-carpet event kicks off at 5:30pm with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a 50/50 cash raffle, and the in-person and online silent auction. Then the no-holds-barred games begin at 7pm with ten bounties on the line, a prize pool of $5,000 cash, an exclusive, coveted rhino trophy, plus over $9,000 in donated prizes.

Expected to join Shannon at the tables in the fierce hand-to-hand competition are former race car driver & environmentalist, Leilani Munter, poker pros Matt Stout and Melanie Weisner, South African poker pro,  actress Katie Morgan, Jay Wasley from Ghost Adventures, and so many more yet to be announced!

All net proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit 501(c)(3), the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, supporting the running and expansion of their South African sanctuary. The mission of the Foundation is to conserve, protect, and rehabilitate endangered wildlife, including the habitats they call home.

Tickets for this inaugural event are $300, which includes your initial chip stack, drink tickets, and appetizers. For anyone who wishes to attend and not play, a $100 ticket is also available. And, of course, with many opportunities to increase your chip stack through rebuys and add-ons, you can’t forget to bring your game face, a lucky card protector, and a charitable spirit to support the mission.

Thanks to the cap company and sponsor, Overlord, premium and rugged retro brand hats will be given to each player to help them disguise their every tell.

Players can get more information, buy tickets, donate, and bid on silent auction items from anywhere in the world at http://www.charityseriesofpoker.org/sef67. The online auction will go live a week before the big event.
