UNLV women’s soccer will wrap up its non-conference slate on the road this weekend, traveling to Los Angeles to take on Loyola Marymount on Sunday. Kick off is set for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live online on the West Coast Conference Network.

The Rebels will try to put the finishing touches on a strong pre-conference schedule that saw them win four straight after a season-opening loss and five wins in their last six games overall. UNLV and LMU will be meeting for the first time since 2011, which was a 2-1 win in overtime for the Rebels in Las Vegas.

The Scarlet and Gray are coming off a pair of home wins last weekend – a 2-1 result over Weber State and a 1-0 shutout against New Mexico State. The Rebels have been productive on both sides of the ball in 2021 as they rank second in the Mountain West in points (44) and goals (17) and third in assists (10), while the defense ranks third in goals allowed (9) and goals-against-average (1.09). The defense also has three shutouts on the year, which ranks tied for second. Individually, juniors Marcella Brooks and Hevani Haunga are tied for the team lead in points with six apiece, while Haunga’s three goals are a team best and fellow junior Lourdes Bosch’s three assists also lead the squad this fall.

After Sunday, UNLV will return home next weekend to open Mountain West play hosting Boise State on Friday night at 7 p.m. and Utah State on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
