UNLV WOMEN’S GOLF FRESHMAN DANA PUYOL LEADS BATTLE AT BOULDER CREEK

 

Two of the three Rebels competing as individuals among top four at event in Boulder City

UNLV has three women’s golfers competing as individuals at the Battle at Boulder Creek and two of them are among the top four after the first two rounds, both played on Monday.

 

The tournament is being played at Boulder Creek Golf Club (par 72, 6,179 yards).

 

UNLV freshman Dana Puyol is the tournament’s leader by two shots at 5-over 149 after rounds of 3-over 75 and 2-over 74. Drake’s Haeri Lee and Ball State’s Liz Kim are both tied for second at 7-over, while UNLV sophomore Veronica Joels is fourth at 10-over (78-76).

 

UNLV freshman Aliyah Williams is tied for 11th at 18-over (81-81).

 

There are four teams and a total of 26 individuals competing at the event. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
