Lady Rebels and UNLV celebrating National Girls and Women In Sports Day prior to and during the contest
The UNLV women’s basketball team has a key Mountain West home game on Saturday, as the Lady Rebels host Boise State in the Cox Pavilion at 3 pm in a matchup of teams tied for fourth place in the league standings at 3-3. UNLV will also be celebrating National Girls and Women In Sports Day on Saturday in connection with the game. An all-sports clinic is being held on the UNLV campus at the Thomas & Mack Center, the Mendenhall Center and the Cox Pavilion prior to the start of the Lady Rebels game. Tickets are 2-for-1 admission, while kids 12 and free are always free to Lady Rebel games.
Saturday’s contest will be streamed live on UNLVRebels.com, thanks to a partnership with UNLV-TV, a media unit of the Hank Greenspun School of Journalism & Media Studies. The UNLV radio broadcast for the game by Adam Candee and Dominique Harris can be heard on KSHP 1400 AM as well as off a link from UNLVRebels.com.
Boise State is winless on the road in league play this year at 0-2, and have not won away from its home court since a neutral court victory over UMKC on Dec. 1. UNLV meanwhile is 2-1 at home in MW games, with the one loss coming to preseason favorite San Diego State.
