UNLV WOMEN’S BASKETBALL BEGINS SECOND HALF OF LEAGUE PLAY AT NEW MEXICO
SATURDAY

Lady Rebels looking to
win at The Pit for the fourth straight year

After finishing the first half of the Mountain West schedule with a 4-4 mark to stand in a tie for fourth place, the UNLV women’s basketball team looks to remain in the top half of the league on Saturday with it takes on New Mexico at The Pit in Albuquerque, with the game tipping off at 1 pm (PT). New Mexico is also tied for fourth at 4-4, though UNLV won the first meeting between the two 68-57 in Las Vegas on Jan. 9. The Lady Rebels have also won on the Lobos’ home court the past three years in the Pit. The UNLV radio broadcast for the game by Adam Candee can be heard on KSHP 1400 AM as well as off a link from UNLVRebels.com.

UNLV has played its best basketball of the year in its past three games, wins over Nevada, Reno, and Boise State as well as taking league-leader Fresno State down to the wire on Wednesday night. The Lady Rebs will need to keep up that pace if they want to keep winning in the second half, as they have five road games over the second half of the season.
