PAIR OF REBELS SET FOR U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS IN INDIANAPOLIS

UNLV men’s swimming’s McKay Mickelson and Bryson Huey will compete at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials in Indianapolis on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The prelims each day are set for 8 a..m. PT, while the top-8 swimmers during prelims will then advance to their respective finals at 5 p.m. PT. The top-two finishers who also post Olympic qualifying times in each event’s final will represent the U.S. Olympic Team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
A Las Vegas product out of Legacy High School, Mickelson is scheduled to compete in the 200 back. The Scarlet & Gray backstroke specialist comes into the meet as the 68th seed in the event with a qualifying time of 2:01.49.
Originally from Walnut Creek, California, Huey is slated to swim Thursday in the 50 free. The Rebel sprint specialist ranks 25th in the event behind a qualifying time of 22.42.
