UNLV SOFTBALL ANNOUNCES 2024 SCHEDULE
The Rebels will play 52 games in 2024, with 24 taking place at Eller Media Stadium
UNLV Softball has released its 2024 schedule, announced head coach Kristie Fox today. The upcoming spring campaign will feature a 52-game slate with 30 games against non-conference opponents and 22 games against Mountain West foes as part of eight weekend series in league play. Of the 52 games, 24 will be played at Eller Media Stadium.
The Rebels open up the 2024 campaign on the road in the Lone Star state for the Bearkat Classic hosted by Sam Houston State and will play five games beginning on Feb. 9 and concluding on Feb. 11. UNLV will matchup against Stephen F. Austin, host Sam Houston State and Wichita State. The Rebels will then head back home and host back-to-back tournaments. UNLV will first host Bradley, Iowa State and UC Santa Barbara for the UNLV Desert Classic on Feb. 16-18. The following weekend, Santa Clara, Tulsa and Southern Utah will come to town for the UNLV Rebel Classic on Feb. 24-25.
To open up March, the Rebels will head to San Diego and play in a tournament hosted by the San Diego Toreros on March 1-3. UNLV will face CSUN, CSU Bakersfield and host San Diego. The Rebels will stay on the road for a single game matchup against Southern Utah on March 5. To close out the non-conference slate, UNLV will trek to the East Coast and participate in the Norfolk State Invitational on March 8-10. The Lady Rebels join Youngstown, Quinnipiac and host Norfolk State in the six-game weekend tournament.
The Rebels head back to Eller Media Stadium to start Mountain West play hosting Colorado State in the first weekend on March 16-17. The rest of the conference schedule is as follows: at New Mexico (March 22-24), vs. Utah State (March 28-30), at Boise State (April 3; double-header), vs. UNR (April 12-14), at Fresno State (April 19-21), at San Jose State (April 26-28) and vs. San Diego State (May 2-4).
UNLV will also play North Dakota State in a three-game series during the MW bye-week on April 6-7. The Rebels and Bison will play a double-header on April 6 and round-up the series on April 7.
