UNLV men’s soccer looks to get in the win column this weekend when it hosts the Air Force Falcons Saturday night at 6 pm in the home opener for the Rebels at Peter Johann Memorial Field. The Rebels were scheduled to open on Feb. 7 against California Baptist before the game was postponed to March 22 due to COVID-19 issues with the Lancers.
The Rebels opened the season a week ago when they jumped out to a 2-0 lead at Incarnate Word, before the Cardinals rallied for a 3-2 victory. A pair of newcomers to the Rebels came up with the goals, thanks to junior Aedon Kyra and freshman Louis Hiepen. Injuries to several defenders caught up to the Rebels during the game however, helping UIW to the victory.
Air Force meanwhile has played just one game this season as well, a 4-0 victory over new WAC member Dixie State.
Saturday’s game will be available to watch through the WAC Digital Network, which will have live links on UNLVRebels.com and can also be watched through the Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android streaming devices. Wyatt Tomchek will provide the play-by-play with Philipp Weise as color analyst.
