UNLV men’s golf senior earns honor for fourth straight year

UNLV men’s golf senior Jack Trent has been named to the 2021 All-Mountain West Men’s Golf Team, the conference announced Thursday.

 

It marks the fourth straight year that Trent has earned all-league honors.

 

Trent, who is originally from Sunshine Coast, Australia, and attended high school in Las Vegas at Palo Verde, finished the regular season ranked 93rd in the country by Golfstat and finished tied for first at the MW Championship, falling in a four-way playoff. He led the Rebels in scoring average this season at 70.88 strokes per round, playing in eight tournaments, finishing in the top five three times and recording a low round of 66 during the final round of the Jackrabbit Invitational when he finished third. He recorded 18 of his 24 total rounds at par or better.

 

Trent, who is graduating, will compete as an individual at next week’s NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships, at the Cle Elum Regional, May 17-19, in Washington.
