The UNLV men’s basketball team will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., for its second straight road game and will face Air Force on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. MT/6 p.m. PT at Clune Arena.

UNLV has lost seven straight games, but a majority of them have come down to the last possession as four have been decided by a combined 10 points. The Runnin’ Rebels’ most recent setback was a 77-64 decision at San Diego State on Sunday.

UNLV’s last win was over Air Force on Jan. 21 in Las Vegas, 87-85, in double overtime. UNLV junior guard Jovan Mooring finished with a career-high 30 points in that game, including a late 3-pointer that forced overtime.

UNLV is led in scoring by Mooring (12.6 ppg), senior forward Tyrell Green (12.0 ppg), sophomore guard Jalen Poyser (11.4 ppg) and senior forward Christian Jones (10.2 ppg). Jones (6.5 rpg), Green (5.3 rpg) and sophomore guard Kris Clyburn (5.2 rpg) are the team’s leading rebounders, while Mooring (4.0 apg) and Poyser (2.8 apg) lead in assists. Mooring is second in the Mountain West in assists and leads in conference-only games (5.0 apg). Junior forward Dwayne Morgan was leading the team in rebounding (7.3 rpg), but has missed the last 18 games because of injury. It was announced on Jan. 19 that he will miss the rest of the season.

Air Force has lost six straight games. Its last win was at home on Jan. 24 vs. San Diego State, 60-57. The Falcons are coming off an 83-78 overtime loss at San José State on Saturday. AFA is 10-6 at home this season. It is led in scoring by senior forward Hayden Graham (12.2 ppg), junior center Frank Toohey (11.3 ppg), junior guard Jacob Van (11.0 ppg), and senior guard Zach Kocur (10.3 ppg). Graham also leads in rebounding (5.6 rpg), while Van (2.9 apg) lead in assists.

The game is not being televised but will be available via stream on Campus Insiders/Mountain West Network with Ray Crawford, Jordan Cornette and Stormy Buonantony (sideline) calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/100.9 FM and online (link at UNLVRebels.com).
