RUNNIN’ REBELS TO PLAY IN 2014 COACHES VS. CANCER CLASSIC® IN BROOKLYN

The UNLV men’s basketball team will join Duke, Stanford and Temple in Brooklyn in November

The UNLV men’s basketball team will play in the championship rounds of the 2014 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic® at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., November 21-22, 2014, which was announced Tuesday by the tournament.

The Runnin’ Rebels will join Duke, Stanford and Temple for the annual event, which is hosted by the Coaches vs. Cancer program, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society® and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The event benefits the American Cancer Society to support its mission to save more lives and help finish the fight against cancer.

The tournament’s semifinal games will be held on Friday, November 21, while the finals will take place the following day, Saturday, November 22. All four games of the Classic in Brooklyn will be broadcast on truTV.

Tickets for the championship round games at Barclays Center will be on sale starting Monday, March 10 at 10 a.m. ET and may be purchased through ticketmaster.com, cvcclassic.com, barclayscenter.com or by calling 800-745-3000.

The complete bracket, including matchups and television broadcast times will be announced at a later date.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program has raised more than $87 million dollars to fund groundbreaking research, provide up-to-date cancer information, advocate for public health policies and deliver services to improve the quality of life for patents and their families.
