UNLV men’s basketball team back at Thomas & Mack Center for first time in 31 days

The UNLV men’s basketball team will return home to the Thomas & Mack Center for the first time in a month and host Colorado State in both teams’ Mountain West opener this Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Since last playing on its home floor Dec. 1, UNLV has played at Illinois (Dec. 8), vs. BYU at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Dec. 15), and in Honolulu at the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic (Dec. 22-25). 
 
UNLV is led in scoring by senior guard Kris Clyburn and sophomore guard Amauri Hardy. They are both averaging 12.4 ppg, while senior forward Shakur Juiston (10.8 ppg), who is out with a knee injury, and freshman forward Joel Ntambwe (10.5 ppg) have also averaged double figures in scoring. Juiston (8.8 rpg) and sophomore forward Mbacke Diong (6.4 rpg) have been the team’s leading rebounders. Senior guard Noah Robotham is the team’s assist leader (3.3 apg).
 
CSU is coming off an 88-68 home loss to New Mexico State on Sunday. The Rams are led in scoring by J.D. Paige with 15.8 ppg.
 
Wednesday’s game will be televised on CBS Sports Network with Brent Stover and Bob Wenzel calling the action. Jon Sandler, former Runnin’ Rebel Robert Smith, and Steve Cofield (sideline reporter) will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM and online via the UNLV Gameday App and TuneIn (link at UNLVRebels.com).
