RUNNIN’ REBELS AT NEVADA, RENO ON SATURDAY

UNLV men’s basketball has won three straight games; 1 p.m. contest will be shown on NBC Sports Network

The UNLV men’s basketball team, winner of three straight and four of its last five games, will complete its two-game road swing with its final regular-season contest away from home on Saturday, March 2, at intrastate rival Nevada, Reno, at 1 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center.

The Runnin’ Rebels are coming off a 65-42 win at Wyoming last Saturday, ending their four-game road losing streak.

This Saturday’s game, which could be worth three points to UNLV in the Governor’s Series, presented by NV Energy, will be televised by NBC Sports Network with Steve Schlanger and Blaine Fowler calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM and online at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature.

UNLV defeated Nevada, Reno, 66-54, earlier this year on Jan. 29, at the Thomas & Mack Center, and has won seven straight over the Wolf Pack. UNLV has won three in a row at Lawlor Events Center dating back to 2006 and is 5-6 on the road this season.
