The UNLV baseball program hits the road for the first time this season for a weekend tilt in San Diego, California, against Hawaii and San Diego. The three-day contest will be held at Fowler Park & Cunningham Field and will also feature games with San Diego State and Fresno State, although the Rebels will not be playing them this weekend.
Friday’s contest will be the first game of the two-game series against USD, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday will feature a single-game contest against the Rainbow Warriors, beginning at 1 p.m., followed by the final game of the two-game series with the Toreros held Sunday at 1 p.m.

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING
UNLV and USD rekindle a series that dates back to 1967, with USD currently holding the overall record by one game (16-15). The last meeting between the two was in 2016 at USD, where the Toreros took the overall series lead winning 13-7.
The series between the Rainbow Warriors and the Rebels dates back to 1977, with Hawaii currently holding a two-game edge, 16-14, over UNLV. However, the Scarlet & Gray has closed the gap since playing against each other in the 21st century in Las Vegas in 2013 on March 3, 12-4, and March 4, 14-1,

UNLV will return to Las Vegas and Earl E. Wilson Stadium for a single-game midweek contest against Utah March 1, followed by five back-to-back contests featuring a three-game series against Cal Poly (March 4-5) and a two-game match-up against Utah Valley (March 7-8).
