THE DENNIS BONO SHOW CELEBRATES 25 YEARS FEB. 6, 2025

Longest-Running Weekly Music, Variety and Talk Radio Show Brings Las Vegas Entertainers to Worldwide Audiences

The Dennis Bono Show—the only music, variety and talk show broadcasting from the Entertainment Capital of the World spotlighting Las Vegas’ talented entertainers to a worldwide audience—will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Thursday, Feb. 6.

Created and hosted by acclaimed recording artist Dennis Bono, the weekly radio show is produced in front of a live audience from Michael Gaughan’s South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. The Dennis Bono Show airs Sundays in Las Vegas on KXNT 840 AM at 3 p.m. and KJUL 104.7 FM at 9 p.m. and—starting Feb. 16—will air on UNLV’s KUNV 91.5 FM at 11 a.m. It reaches millions of listeners via the CRN1 radio network on Saturdays at 12 p.m., Sundays at 12 a.m., 1 a.m., and 3 p.m. and Mondays at 12 a.m. (all noted times in Pacific Standard Time) as well as on the Armed Forces Radio Network.

“For a quarter century, it has been my honor to give Las Vegas’ talented roster of performing artists a platform to share their gifts with the world,” Bono says. “The entertainment landscape on the Strip may have evolved away from the intimate lounge acts that dominated it in decades past, but the caliber of the performers here remains second to none. With The Dennis Bono Show, we are able not only to introduce established and up-and-coming artists to a global audience but also support their current efforts and even drive ticket sales to their performances.”

Over the years, The Dennis Bono Show has welcomed countless entertainers and broadcast more than 1,200 episodes. Guests have included Las Vegas’ most celebrated and emerging entertainers as well as globally renowned celebrity performers such as Paul Anka, Frankie Avalon, Charo, Chicago, Tony Curtis, Robert Goulet, Shecky Greene, Steve Lawrence, Jerry Lewis, Rich Little, Deana Martin, Wayne Newton, Debbie Reynolds, Mickey Rooney, Bobby Rydell, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Smothers Brothers, Rip Taylor, The Platters, The Righteous Brothers and many more.

Known as the “consummate interpreter of the Great American Songbook” for his distinctive lyrical phrasing of beloved songs, Bono spent the 1970s and 80s performing on the East Coast club circuit. New York restaurateur Jilly Rizzo heard Bono’s album, “By Myself,” on the radio (which was enjoying rave critical reviews) and introduced him to his close friend and confidant Frank Sinatra, who declared, “This is the kid that is going to carry the torch for our music.” Bono went on to tour from Las Vegas to Japan and everywhere in-between, joining legendary comedian Don Rickles on a tour that included stops in Atlantic City and the Las Vegas Strip. Bono’s most recent CD recordings, including “To Laugh, to Love, To Life” released in September 2021 and “I Won’t Dance” released in 2024, can be heard on “Siriusly Sinatra” and other syndicated shows and stations around the country.
