TWO LAS VEGAS NATIVES TRANSFER TO UNLV WOMEN’S SOCCER PROGRAM
The rising juniors join the Rebels after playing two seasons at Robert Morris University
The UNLV women’s soccer program has received signed transfer commitments from Las Vegas natives Elisa Corvalan and Cali Laymon for the fall 2024 season, head coach Jenny Williams announced Wednesday.
Corvalan and Laymon join their hometown Rebels after playing two years at Robert Morris University. The duo helped lead RMU to its first Horizon League Tournament semifinal appearance in 2023.
Elisa Corvalan, Midfielder, Las Vegas, NV
A product of Arbor View High School, Corvalan amassed seven assists, four goals, 15 points and two game-winning goals in 38 games as a midfielder at RMU. Additionally, she gained experience at the international level following her freshman year when she was selected to train with the Chilean National Team in the spring of 2023.
Cali Laymon, Defender, Las Vegas, NV
A Centennial High School graduate, Laymon played 30 games and tallied one assist as a defender with the Colonials. She formed part of an RMU backline that guided the squad to top-5 conference rankings in goals against average and goal differential last fall.
The rising juniors make up an 11-member group of incoming players that features three other local signees – Summer Pyles, Makena Siaki and Emma Rietz.
