Town Square Diners Can Support Cure 4 The Kids Foundation In Many Ways

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Town Square Las Vegas is stepping up once again to help ensure no child goes without the medical treatment that can save their life.

Several Town Square restaurants are partnering with Cure 4 The Kids Foundation and will donate proceeds from specific menu items, or a percentage of the total bill, during the month of September, 2013, to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care Plan.

As a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation provides funding to the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, the state’s only nonprofit pediatric cancer outpatient treatment center.  The nonprofit mission ensures that no child is ever turned away from treatment due to a lack of medical insurance or the family’s ability to pay for treatment.

The following restaurants will be serving up their famous dishes and drinks with special donation plans in September.  In addition, donations can be made directly to Cure 4 The Kids at www.cure4thekids.org.

BRIO Tuscan Grille – Donating all proceeds from sales of its Wild Berry Lemonade throughout September to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.

“Town Square Las Vegas has been such a huge supporter of our Foundation in the past and we can’t thank them enough for their continued support this year,” said Annette Logan, President and Executive Director of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.  “We need help from the community to continue our mission of providing access to quality medical care for families without insurance that need to care for their children with complex medical issues.”

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that was founded by Dr. Jonathan Bernstein, M.D., to help provide access to medical treatment for life threatening childhood diseases through its two agencies: The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center of Nevada.

With Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care Plan, no child affected by cancer and other life threatening diseases is ever turned away due to a lack of medical insurance or lack of financial resources. To date, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation has provided about 7 million dollars in unreimbursed medical care for those who could not afford it.

The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada has treated almost 9,000 patients since 2007.

About Cure 4 The Kids:
The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center Of Nevada are funded, in part, by the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.  The 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization was founded in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Bernstein to ensure children with life threatening illnesses received proper medical attention regardless of their family’s income or presence of health insurance.  To date, more than 8,000 patients have been treated by physicians and medical staff at the Children’s Specialty Center and Hemophilia Treatment Center.  The Children’s Specialty Center provides medical treatment to children facing devastating diseases such as cancer, rheumatological diseases, as well as rare and ultra-rare diseases. All our providers are Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) of Nevada is the only Federally recognized HTC in the state.  It is one of 140 HTCs around the country which provides individual services to children and adults with inherited bleeding disorders. Studies show people with Hemophilia who are treated at federally recognized HTCs have lower overall healthcare costs, lower hospitalization rates and lower mortality rates than non-HTC users. The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care plan ensures patients at The Children’s Specialty Center and the Hemophilia Treatment center receive medical treatment regardless of family income or presence of medical insurance. www.cure4thekids.org
