TOURNAMENT OF KINGS INTRODUCES ITS  FIRST FEMALE HORSE RIDER

FEMALE HORSE RIDER

Tournament of Kings at Excalibur Hotel & Casino, the most exciting dinner show on the Vegas Strip, recently introduced its newest cast member and first female horse rider Iranda Dyer. Dyer was hired to perform alongside the other maidens of Tournament of Kings in a new dance routine, but has a unique role and dance partner. Dyer, a skilled rider with 20 years of experience with horses, sits atop Nobilissimo, one of the show’s four-legged cast members, and commands him through a performance of dressage. Considered an art, dressage is a routine in which horse and rider make precise movements as one harmonious team.

Nobilissimo is an Andalusian, a breed commonly referred to as “the horse of the kings.” When Dyer is not working with him at Tournament of Kings she works as a sports massage therapist for horses at three Las Vegas equine centers. Dyer currently performs in Tournament of Kings Friday, Sunday and Monday.

About Tournament of Kings:
One of the last true dinner shows in Las Vegas, Tournament of Kings is a live production adapted from the tale of King Arthur. Performed in a 900-seat theater-in-the-round arena, the show engages the audience through its tale of valor and treachery. Mighty horses and feats of skill, special effects and pyrotechnics further add to the unique appeal of the production. Throughout the performance, a hearty three-course meal is served in the spirit and tradition of the medieval period – sans utensils. Show times are 6 p.m. Monday and Friday and 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday – Thursday and Saturday – Sunday. Tickets are $59 (not including applicable service charges and taxes) and can be purchased at the Excalibur box office, online at excalibur.com or by phone at (702) 597-7600.
