HABIBI-Q COMMUNAL DINING EXPERIENCE

Renowned restaurateur and award-winning chef Michael Mina launches Habibi-Q, a captivating new dining experience at Mandalay Bay’s Orla. This communal feast celebrates the rich culinary traditions of the Mediterranean BBQ, blending bold Middle Eastern flavors with the warmth and hospitality characteristic of the region. Meticulously designed to foster connection and celebration over a variety of vibrant, flavorful dishes, this immersive experience offers guests a one-of-a-kind culinary adventure where tradition and culture converge.
In further celebration of his heritage, Chef Mina also is releasing his highly anticipated cookbook, “My Egypt: Cooking from My Roots,” a tribute to the cuisine and ingredients that shaped his life. This bold collection of recipes captures the spirit and energy of the region and offers a glimpse into his personal journey through food. In honor of the book’s release, Chef Mina will be at Orla on Saturday, October 12 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to sign copies of the cookbook, which is now available for purchase at the restaurant and through booksellers nationwide. Guests who dine at Orla and opt for either the Habibi-Q or The Orla Experience tasting menu can receive a copy of his cookbook for an additional $25.
“Habibi-Q is about the joy of sharing and connecting,” said Chef Mina. “Inspired by the communal dining traditions I grew up with, this menu celebrates not only the incredible flavors of Mediterranean BBQ, but also gathering around the table and being in the moment with loved ones, which is the heart and soul of Orla.”

Orla’s Habibi-Q showcases a curated selection of mezze-style dishes, designed to be shared. The experience brings guests on a culinary journey through an array of flavorful cold and hot dishes, featuring fresh vegetables, a variety of dips, grilled meats, seafood and desserts. The menu is $139 per person and is available for groups of four or more with the option to obtain a copy of Mina’s cookbook for an additional $25.

- The Greek: Persian Cucumber, Kalamata Olives, Tomato, Red Onions, Feta
- Kataifi Wrapped Prawns: Young Coconut, Spicy Mango, Lime Leaf
- Marinated Big Eye Tuna: Crispy Falafel, Whipped Tahina, Spicy Cucumber
- Breads, Spreads, Pickles: House Tumeric Pickles, Tzatziki, Smokey Eggplant Dip, Hummus ($12 supplement for the table)
Second Course
- 12-Hour Smoked Whole Plate Short Rib: Habibi BBQ Sauce, Pomegranate Sumac Tare, Butter Lettuce Cups, Crispy Onion Ring
- Tomato-Ginger Glazed Salmon: Saffron Couscous, Dill Yogurt, Blistered Cherry Tomatoes
- Saffron Basmati Rice Pilaf: Egyptian Crunch
- Grilled Lobster Skewer: Lobster Skewer ($98 supplement)
