Annual Black & White Party
at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Roster of over-the-top weekend activities planned to accompany main social event
Revered as one of Las Vegas’ signature social events, Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s annual Black & White Party returns to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Paradise Beach on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Black & White Party boasts a unique experience of festivities, celebrations and revelry complete with gourmet food, beverage samplings, eye-catching atmospheric entertainment and live stage performances. As the largest non-profit supporting the HIV/AIDS community in Nevada, 100 percent of proceeds from the evening go to support HIV/AIDS services.
“It’s been nearly three decades of incredible Black & White Party memories,” said Earl Shelton, director of development for AFAN. “We’re looking forward to making this year one to remember. It’s an honor to have Hard Rock Hotel as our invaluable host for the second consecutive year and we can’t wait to create another evening for the history books.”
Celebrating its 27th anniversary in 2013, the Black & White Party began as a humble gathering of community members in 1986 to collect canned foods for those living with HIV/AIDS in Nevada. Held at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Paradise Beach, with plush tropical scenery with Caribbean-blue water and sandy beaches, the Black & White Party will feature nearly 20 unique food & beverage vendors, exciting raffle prizes, fashion contests and live entertainment.

General admission tickets are on sale for $35 per person; limited VIP tickets are available for $100 per ticket and include early entry to the event at 8 p.m. with first access to tastings and vendors, an exclusive gift bag and distinctive VIP party entertainment. Additionally, in celebration of Black & White Weekend, Hard Rock Hotel is offering an exclusive room package with a portion of room rates benefitting AFAN from Friday, Aug. 23 to Monday, Aug. 26. Use code HAFANBW when reserving online or by telephone at 800-343-4346.
For the first time, a roster of official events will surround the main Black & White evening to create an unforgettable weekend. The official kick-off party will be held at Share Nightclub on Friday, Aug. 23 at 10 p.m. No cover for Las Vegas residents; tables are available for $200 and limited cabanas can be purchased for $250 through AFAN’s website with 100 percent of proceeds going to support the organization. During the day on Saturday, Aug. 24, Breathe Pool Lounge at Hard Rock Hotel will host the official pre-party from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; $5 cover for locals. Following the Black & White Party, the after-party will be held at FreeZone and Piranha Nightclub located in the “Fruit Loop” beginning at 1 a.m. To cap off the weekend, 35 Steaks + Martinis at Hard Rock Hotel will host a delicious brunch for $45 per person beginning at 11 a.m. featuring stuffed French toast and mini chicken & waffles among other dishes.Unlimited mimosas are available for an additional $15 per person.
