Tickets on Sale Now for AFAN’s 5th Annual Evening of Cabaret Featuring Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr.

The legendary duo takes the stage in the intimate Cabaret Jazz Room at  The Smith Center

Iconic pop/R&B artists and husband and wife duo Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr. headline the 5th Annual Evening of Cabaret benefitting Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. inside the intimate Cabaret Jazz Room at The Smith Center.

As lead singers of the chart-topping vocal group The 5th Dimension, McCoo and Davis have sold millions of records, won seven Grammy® awards and earned 15 gold and three platinum records. In 1975, after a decade with The 5th Dimension, McCoo and Davis established themselves as a duo and went on to release their own Grammy® award-winning singles as well as star in their own CBS variety show, “The Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr. Show.”

The two have enjoyed solo success as well, including McCoo’s hosting gig on the iconic 1980s TV music series “Solid Gold,” and starring on Broadway in “Showboat.” Davis starred in the touring version of the Broadway musical “Dream Girls.”

Married for more than 44 years, the pair co-authored, “Up, Up and Way,” chronicling their relationship and musical careers while sharing secrets and advice for staying happy and committed.

McCoo and Davis will perform a musical tribute to the hits throughout their careers, including classic songs such as “Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In,” “Up, Up and Away,” “One Less Bell,” “Wedding Bell Blues” and “You Don’t Have To Be A Star (To Be In My Show).”

“Evening of Cabaret is a special night combining fantastic music with a great cause and we’re so thrilled to be celebrating our fifth year,” said Antioco Carrillo, executive director for AFAN. “Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr. are extraordinary talent who will put on an unforgettable performance.”

Tickets are on sale now and range from $35-$59 or two VIP tickets for $99 that include a meet and greet after the performance. Proceeds benefit AFAN and are available at the box office, online at thesmithcenter.com or by phone at 702.749.2000.
