Tickets On Sale Now for the CASA Foundation’s 24th Annual Volunteer Recognition Gala at The Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino

 

One of Las Vegas’ signature social events, CASA Foundation’s Annual Volunteer Recognition Gala, will take place on

Oct., 11 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino.  The gala will celebrate and honor its volunteer advocates who are empowered by the courts to ensure each foster child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.

 

The evening celebration for this community – based program will begin with cocktails and a silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner and program awarding the Honorable Frank P. Sullivan, District Court Judge Family Division, Dept. O. as the Child Advocate of the Year.  The evening will conclude with dancing and live entertainment.

 

“It’s so rewarding to be able to honor and celebrate the dedication of our supporters and volunteers,” said Nancy Myster, CASA Foundation of Las Vegas President. “We are also celebrating 31 years of advocating for the unmet needs of our foster care children here in Clark County.”

The CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Foundation of Las Vegas was founded in 1983 is a community-based program that recruits trains and supports citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities.  Volunteer advocates – empowered directly by the courts – offer judges the critical information needed to ensure each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.  With the mission of providing financial assistance to foster children in the foster care system through no fault of their own and whose needs are not being met through any other community resources.  2013 marked 30 years of service to the valley and an amazing $350,000 in donations given to the children.
