Tickets for the 2014-2015 Winter/Spring Season at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts are on sale now. The all-star lineup boasts award-winning musicians, speakers, special attractions, family programming and returning favorites.
New for the season is a Design Your Own Series for The Smith Center presented performances, excluding Broadway, resident company or Cabaret Jazz shows. The more you see, the more you save. Offered for the January through May season, the graduated discounts offer 5%, 10% and 15% discounts when 3-4 shows, 5-6 shows or 7+ shows, respectively, are purchased together.
Tickets for individual performances begin at $12.95. The result is a funny, lively and very talky evening of dance and stories that brought down the house in its first test run at Carnegie Hall. “What makes it work,” says Glass, “is a shared sensibility. Bruce Hornsby’s work displays a creative iconoclasm that’s been a constant in the artist’s two-and-a-half decade recording career. Each of the twenty or so characters is brought to life by Solomon using the voices and dialects that they possess in real life.
