“A musician of unflappable rhythmic aplomb.” – The New York Times
Returning to The Smith Center by popular demand, nine-time Grammy nominee Dave Koz performs his electrifying jazz-saxophone stylings with a powerhouse lineup of brass masters, including Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Richard Elliot and Aubrey Logan. Following Koz’s first two highly successful Summer Horns Tours, this year’s tour showcases the same high-energy delivery of swinging hits, including songs from the hotly anticipated new album, “Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns.” The first “Summer Horns” release debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.

Saxophonist Albright is acclaimed for his solo recordings and performances with legends such as Anita Baker, Whitney Houston and The Temptations. Braun, a chart-topping trumpeter, has collaborated with leading artists including Rod Stewart, Sade and REO Speedwagon. Elliot, also on saxophone, has forged a successful solo career since first starting out with the renowned horn-driven R&B band Tower of Power.

Logan, a wildly talented pop and jazz singer and trombone soloist, captivates audiences with her wild talent and fresh originality. She has quickly made a name for herself as a featured artist with musical sensation Postmodern Jukebox, as her music videos with the group have accrued millions of views online.

The show also features guitarist Adam Hawley, named both Smooth Jazz News and JazzTrax Debut Artist of the Year. Hawley has performed and recorded with the likes of Natalie Cole, Jennifer Lopez and The Backstreet Boys.

Showcasing new songs from the forthcoming “Summer Horns” album, plus hits from these versatile artists’ own catalogues, this will be among the summer’s hottest shows.
