THE MOB MUSEUM TO HOST “OFFICERS IN CRISIS: PTSD, STIGMAS AND
SOLUTIONS,” THURSDAY, MAY 11
Complimentary Event Explores Challenges Law Enforcement Officers Face
WHAT:
The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, invites guests to “Officers in Crisis: PTSD, Stigmas and Solutions” on Thursday, May 11.
Law enforcement officers are front-row witnesses to life’s darkest moments, from the tragic death of a child to the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct. 1, 2017. For many officers, these experiences can have devastating effects on their mental health, leading to PTSD, substance abuse, divorce and even suicide. This panel discussion will explore the challenges officers face and how law enforcement agencies help them prepare for and recover from the traumatic effects of their work.
In addition to this panel event, the Museum is also pleased to offer free admission to all law enforcement professionals during National Police Week from Sunday, May 14 through Saturday, May 20.
