THE MOB MUSEUM ANNOUNCES NEW ADDITIONS
TO BOARD, ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, announces newly appointed Board and Advisory Council Members. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Museum boasts a highly respected board of directors, comprising professionals from local and state government, law enforcement, the judicial system, media and the business community. The Museum’s Advisory Council membership roster spans the globe, including individuals with expertise in a variety of relevant disciplines such as law enforcement, journalism, academia and the criminal justice system, as well as an array of business sectors.
New Museum Board of Directors Member:
- Nadine Jones – As the senior vice president of people and culture for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the premier tourism, advocacy, research and official destination marketing agency for Southern Nevada, Nadine Jones oversees the strategic direction, management and oversight of talent acquisition, talent development, culture, compensation, diversity and inclusion, performance management and labor relations. Prior to her current role, Jones was the chief human resources officer for the Clark County School District, the nation’s fifth largest school district. She holds a degree in hospitality and tourism management from Ryerson Polytechnic University and a master’s degree in tourism administration from George Washington University. She also held several roles in the hospitality and gaming industry progressing in both operations and human resources functions at Marriott International and MGM Resorts International.
New Advisory Council Members:
- George Anastasia – Veteran journalist George Anastasia spent more than 30 years reporting on crime for the Philadelphia Inquirer and was once a target of Philadelphia crime boss John Stanfa. He has also authored six nonfiction books, including “Blood and Honor: Inside the Scarfo Mob – the Mafia’s Most Violent Family,” which American columnist Jimmy Breslin called the “best gangster book ever written.” Other notable books authored by Anastasia include “The Last Gangster” and “The Summer Wind: Thomas Capano and the Murder of Anne Marie Fahey.” He currently writes the Mob Scene, a column for JerseyMan/PhillyMan Magazine and is an adjunct professor at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, where he teaches courses on organized crime and journalism.
- Jim Lee – Jim Lee served as a federal law enforcement officer for the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) Criminal Investigation Division for 29 years. In his four-year-long role as chief, he managed a global team comprising approximately 3,400 employees, including 2,300 special agents across 11 countries. He led significant investigations into financial crimes such as tax evasion, money laundering, public corruption, cybercrime, identity theft, narcotics and terrorist financing. In 2023, he received the Presidential Rank Award as a Distinguished Executive from President Joe Biden, one of the highest honors in civil service. This year, Lee also joined Chainalysis as the global head of capacity building where he continues to work with law enforcement, tax agencies, financial institutions and regulators.
