The LINQ and High Roller Celebrate a Year
at the Heart of the Las Vegas Strip
The LINQ’s debut in 2014 ushered in a new era of Las Vegas hospitality
When The LINQ Promenade debuted in 2014 it brought a new culture and lifestyle to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The first outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment district on The Strip, developed by Caesars Entertainment, brough a mix of new brands to Las Vegas as well as some familiar favorites along with festive parties and the world’s tallest observation wheel, the Las Vegas High Roller.
“The LINQ and the High Roller are part of Caesars Entertainment’s vision for the future of Las Vegas,” said Caesars Entertainment Chairman, President and CEO Gary Loveman. “Visitors to Las Vegas are looking for unique experiences that they can’t find anywhere else in the world, and The LINQ delivers something special to The Strip that can’t be matched. The outdoor promenade offers restaurants, shops and entertainment venues that embody both an entrepreneurial spirit and fun.”
The first year at The LINQ brought many exciting events including the Academy of Country Music’s Party for A Cause and Britney Day – a celebration for pop star Britney Spears’ key to The Strip in early November. The LINQ also is the place to celebrate holidays from New Year’s Eve to Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day to Fourth of July – all done with a Vegas flair.
“It’s really been a terrific first year at The LINQ with thousands and thousands of visitors,” Loveman added.
The High Roller also commemorated its first year of operations on March 31, 2015 when it was presented with the very first “Las Vegas Strip Icon Award” on behalf of the Clark County Commission.
In addition to the recent designation by Clark County, the High Roller also received several “Best of Las Vegas” Awards including the “Best Attraction,” “Best Amusement Ride,” and “Best Place to View the City.” The Best of Las Vegas Awards are voted on by readers and editors of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The High Roller was also named a “Must See Attraction” by the Huffington Post.
The LINQ and High Roller observation wheel have also become a place to see and been seen. Celebrities from Giada DeLaurentiis to Mindy Kaling and Jennifer Lawrence to NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson have all been spotted enjoying the High Roller.
A Look Towards the Future
In addition to its successful launch year, The LINQ Promenade continues to grow and evolve. In the first half of 2015, The LINQ saw the addition of sandal boutique Havaianas, Off The Strip restaurant and lifestyle shop Pier 30. As The LINQ Promenade continues to evolve, additional locations will continue to open up and bring new experiences to visitors.
“The LINQ Promenade is a very dynamic environment and our team will continue to find opportunities to bring new shops, restaurants and entertainment venues to our guests,” said Caesars Entertainment President of Hospitality Bob Morse. “From new openings to themed parties to art displays, there is always something happening here at The LINQ and each time you visit us there will always be something new to see.”
