English-Irish boy band The Wanted released its self-titled debut record in 2010, striking a chord in the hearts of Brits and landing on the UK charts with three top-20 singles. Their debut single, “All Time Low,” went to number one on the UK charts, followed by US success with the group’s second number-one hit, “Glad You Came,” from the sophomore album, Battleground. Setting out with the intent of redefining the “boy band,” The Wanted blends its unique edginess with catchy pop melodies for a truly addictive sound.

American indie-rockers Cold War Kids has long-since established its status in the forefront of the indie music scene. Released in April 2013, Cold War Kids’ fourth album, Dear Miss Lonelyhearts, diverges from the blues-drenched themes of previous records, finding the group on a dance-beat driven, new wave trajectory. From the album’s first single and opening track, “Miracle Mile,” to the soulful ballad, “Tuxedos,” Dear Miss Lonelyhearts turns the page to a new chapter, reminiscent of the fire Cold War Kids first lit when they debuted in 2004.

Psychedelic synth-pop outfit MGMT burst onto the scene in 2007 with its debut album Oracular Spectacular ,ranked by Rolling Stone Magazine as the “18th best album of the decade” and also ranked in its “500 greatest albums of all time,” as well as “best album of 2008” by New Musical Express (NME). The group followed up with Congratulations in 2010 and just released the studio version of their new song, “Alien Days,” in April. MGMT is tentatively slated to release its third album in June.
