The Australian Bee Gees Show Host Performances Benefiting the American Red Cross Labor Day Weekend

The Australian Bee Gees ShowA Tribute to the Bee Gees and the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross have partnered to host a series of special performances at Excalibur Hotel & Casino. This Labor Day weekend, a portion of proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit the American Red Cross. As people across the country prepare to celebrate Labor Day with fun-filled festivities, The Australian Bee Gees Show will encourage visitors to stay safe.

Michael Clift, who performs as Barry Gibb, said, “We are thrilled to take our partnership with the Red Cross to the next level and look forward to spreading the word about safe practices over the popular holiday weekend. The organization does so much locally and nationwide that we felt it was important to raise some money and give back to its cause.”

This is not the first time the American Red Cross and The Australian Bee Gees Show have joined forces. The two groups launched their partnership back in June after discovering a tie between the popular tune “Stayin’ Alive” and CPR. At 103 beats per minute, the disco hit’s tempo almost perfectly matches the recommended rate for performing hands-only CPR — 100 chest compressions per minute, with no mouth-to-mouth resuscitation necessary.

A high-energy production guaranteed to have audiences on the dance floor, The Australian Bee Gees Show features iconic classics that changed the sound of music including “You Should Be Dancing,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “To Love Somebody,” “Night Fever” and “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” among others.

Formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1996, The Australian Bee Gees Show has taken the world by storm.  The multi-media concert event utilizes state-of-the-art sound and superb lighting coupled with giant screens featuring video clips, live camera images and stunning graphics. Entering its 17th year as a group, the tribute band has performed more than 4,000 shows in more than 40 countries.

The Australian Bee Gees Show is produced by SPI Entertainment, the premier provider of world-class entertainment in Las Vegas including Smokey Robinson Presents: Human Nature – The Motown Show, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, Australia’s Thunder From Down Under and Divas – Starring Frank Marino.

The Australian Bee Gees Show takes the stage Saturday through Thursday at 7 p.m. nightly in the Thunder From Down Under Showroom at Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Tickets can be purchased at the Excalibur box office, online at www.excalibur.com or by phone at (702) 597-7600.
