La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn Las Vegas
Unveils Stunning Remodel, Revealing
Striking Architectural Enhancements
La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn Las Vegas is now open following its highly anticipated remodel, showcasing an exquisite architectural transformation that honors the restaurant’s timeless European sensibility.
La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway, Morton Group’s treasured destination at Wynn Las Vegas, is now open following its highly anticipated remodel, showcasing an exquisite architectural transformation that honors the restaurant’s timeless European sensibility. Beautifully accentuated by the colors of the Mediterranean, the remodel adds natural light and cozy furnishings to the main dining room and the addition of a beautiful terracotta-tiled bar in the garden room – all capitalizing on the striking view of Wynn’s lush pool and visual marvel, the Sphere.
“With this design, we sought to capture the magic of La Cave’s ambiance through a new lens,” said Michael Morton, co-owner of La Cave with Jenna Morton, who, as proud locals since the 90s, have been influential in the evolution of Las Vegas’s nightlife and culinary scenes. “In addition to enhancing the overall space, this remodel maximizes the stunning views of Wynn’s garden and pool.”
“La Cave’s design is in the beauty of the artisans and craftsmanship,” said award-winning designer Karen Herold, who crafted the original architectural vision of La Cave in 2010 and the newly revealed remodel. “The remodel is not a complete transformation; rather it is the next chapter in its story.” Born in Holland and based in Chicago, Herold has long collaborated with Michael and Jenna, bringing a deep understanding of the Morton family’s legacy to the project.
The bar in the main dining room has been removed to create a more open and inviting atmosphere. In its place are expansive windows that line the entire back wall. The addition of a striking new bar, set against a backdrop of living succulents adorning the interior wall, has transformed the garden room into an elegant retreat where nature and luxury intertwine. Hand-glazed terracotta tiles, framed in rich teak, line the bar, while a bronzed two-way mirror reflects the room’s vibrant energy. The bar’s design injects a lively ambiance into the indoor/outdoor space, seamlessly connecting with the patio overlooking Wynn’s pool and gardens through floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
Additional design enhancements complement the remodel’s focus on architectural integrity and meticulous craftsmanship. The remodel preserves La Cave’s transportive ethos through attention to detail, including custom wood flooring, exquisite fabrics, handcrafted furniture and bespoke dinnerware.
La Cave has added three new dishes to its celebrated menu, including New Zealand lamb, served with creamy mascarpone polenta, spinach, garlic and capers, priced at $32; pipe rigate with ciliegine mozzarella, prosciutto and a touch of chili flakes, priced at $22; and, a new addition to the charcuterie selections, a savory duck prosciutto, priced at $11. Several classic dishes have also been refreshed with seasonal ingredients, including the sirloin steak, with shishito pepper, shiitake mushroom and salsa verde, priced at $36; Chilean sea bass, served with potato, piquillo pepper, cilantro and roasted garlic, priced at $32; and seared ahi tuna with roasted fennel, shishito, spinach and dashi broth, priced at $29.
