Support Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s 22nd Annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas
by Shopping at Local Walgreens Stores

Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) and local Las Vegas Walgreens stores are partnering in 2012 to raise money for the nonprofit’s largest fundraising event of the year, the 22nd Annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas.

From now until Sunday, April 1, Walgreens shoppers can donate to the event by telling their Walgreens clerk they would like to contribute during check out.

“This is an ideal way to contribute to the fundraising effort for those who can’t make it to the AIDS Walk at UNLV but still want to participate,” explained AFAN Executive Director Antioco Carrillo. “If people are busy or out of town the Sunday of the event, they can still make a difference by donating just a few dollars at Walgreens.”

AFAN hopes this new partnership with Walgreens will help them surpass last year’s AIDS Walk fundraising total of $461,000.  All Valley Walgreens locations are participating in this effort.

Those interested in participating in the AIDS Walk can register online at www.afanlv.kintera.org/2012aw.  Registration is free, but a minimum donation of $50 is encouraged and includes an official AIDS Walk T-shirt.
