Strip House Announces Partnership with Schmidt Brothers

The sultry steakhouse adds brand new customized world class cutlery to dining experience

What happens when a steakhouse that redefines the traditional dining experience partners with a cutlery company that eats, sleeps and breathes innovative design? Epic greatness, that’s what. Strip House Steakhouse, part of the BR Guest Hospitality portfolio, has partnered with Schmidt Brothers Cutlery to bring world class cutlery to your world class dining experience. The partnership garners a stunningly sleek, modern and sophisticated 5” jumbo serrated steak knife. A custom design featuring the patented Schmidt Brothers curve and their new transitional bolster, the handle is crafted from luxurious black ash wood. The 100% German stainless steel blade showcases both brands’ logos. Donned “The Strip House Steak Knife” it will be used as tabletop in the venue’s two NYC locations and the Las Vegas outpost, as well as be available online for guests to purchase as a set of four, outfitted in a red oak wooden gift box.

“Co-branding with Strip House is a natural fit for us.” says Jordan Schmidt, half of the cutlery brother duo.  “They take the philosophy of “New Tradition” and embody it in their locations, environment, service, and most importantly their food. At Schmidt Brothers we like to pay homage to our generations past, yet improve upon what they left us.  We visually tell this story through imagery, quality and aesthetics. Walk into any Strip House and take a look at the photos on the wall; sexy, scandalous, and provocative, yet tasteful and elegant. When we saw this, we said, “We gotta talk to these guys!”.

BR Guest President & CEO James Gersten shares Schmidt’s enthusiasm and sentiments: ““We’re always focused on heightening the guest experience, hitting all five senses with ambiance, food and service. Philosophically, Strip House and Schmidt Brothers cutlery share a fundamental belief – deliver the best possible product to the guest at a great value.”

Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, Strip House opened in New York City in 2000. It is widely considered one of the best steakhouses in the country with 3 locations nationwide. The restaurants are known for combining perfectly charred cuts of steak with signature, decadent side dishes along with infamous interiors featuring siren-red décor and old-world glamour. The newest 44th street outpost boasts an inviting, stunning & newly renovated bar area. You may come for the chic ambiance, but you’ll stay for the star of the show: The Meat (a la Pat LaFrieda).

“It’s all about the meat at Strip House” says Strip House executive chef Michael Vignola. “Pat La Frieda cuts simply seasoned with our signature char. We let the food speak for itself, highlighting quality meats, local produce and fresh ingredients. It’s about time we start slicing our steaks with the best tools out there.” Just make sure you save room for dessert. The chocolate cake, as seen on “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” will prove to be the literal icing on the cake.

The partnership is one that will surely bring diners coming back for more, and is sure to store lots more tricks up their sleeves.
