Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower Announces Christmas Day Menus

at Top of the World and McCall’s Heartland Grill

 

Enjoy the holidays a little more this year and allow chefs at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower to prepare your Christmas day meal.  Under the direction of Executive Chef Rick Giffen special holiday menus are being offered on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the award-winning Top of the World Restaurant, located 106 floors above the Las Vegas Strip, the cozy and comfortable McCall’s Heartland Grill, The Buffet and at the 1950s themed Roxy’s Diner.

“It’s a real treat to come up with such diverse menus at our restaurants, which we’ve built around the traditional holiday favorites that we’ve all come to know and expect at Christmas,” said Giffen.

 

Top of the World Restaurant

Diners will enjoy a four course meal including a Waldorf salad accompanied by toasted Marcona almonds on baby iceberg wedge and served with julienne Granny Smith apple, roasted beet and Greek yogurt dressing. The featured appetizer is a parsnip Tatin with roasted pork belly served with an agro dolce reduction. Main course includes a diner’s duo of rack of lamb with mint chimichurri and Canadian lobster tail served with Vanilla butter and a winter vegetable medley. For dessert, a Twinkie tiramisu with pumpkin served with Cointreau creme anglaise and hazelnut brittle. $90 per person. The Christmas special will be available from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Regular menu items will also be available.

McCall’s Heartland Grill

Guests will enjoy a three course meal featuring an entree of chargrilled filet of beef and Alaskan crab legs served with a red wine reduction, clarified butter, herb roasted fingerling potatoes and candied yam. Includes wilted Spinach salad with shaved red onion, queso fresco, dried blueberries, chili macadamia nuts and smoked bacon balsamic dressing. White chocolate Strudel with Vanilla Bean ice cream for dessert. $49 per person; 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Regular menu items will also be available.

McCall’s Heartland Grill is an original concept grill restaurant offering hearty Midwestern-style steaks, fresh coastal seafood and an array of creative comfort food served in a sleek yet cozy “cowboy chic” atmosphere.

 

The Buffet at Stratosphere

Experience a spectacular variety of traditional favorites that include cinnamon coffee crusted prime rib of beef, oven roasted cilantro pesto breast of turkey, maple glazed spiral ham, holiday chicken tortilla soup, southern style smothered pork shops with braised collard greens, pancetta cornbread stuffing, country mashed potatoes and gravy, rum buttered sweet potatoes, sautéed green beans with dried cranberries, oven-baked whitefish with sauce portuguese and much more.  Also featuring build-your-own salad bar and assorted holiday pastries. Served from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. $20.99 per person.

 

Roxy’s Diner

For those seeking something less traditional, Roxy’s Diner, the 1950s themed restaurant with singing servers, will featuring a three course menu. Choose from holiday chicken tortilla soup with pomegranate cream or California green salad with candied pecans, goat cheese, dried cranberries and roasted pears. The featured entree is an herb roasted prime rib of beef with Yorkshire pudding and served with pancetta twice baked potato, honey glazed baby carrots and sautéed asparagus. Pecan pie with eggnog creme anglaise for dessert Served from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.  $12.95. Regular menu items will also be available.
