IN LAS VEGAS – FALL 2018

This fall – from the return of football and hockey to the opening of the first zipline on the Las Vegas Strip – numerous story ideas can be found at The LINQ Promenade, High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel… and opening by the end of this year – Fly LINQ.

Fly LINQ: The first zipline on the Las Vegas Strip will open by the end of this year. Fly LINQ will feature 10 side-by-side ziplines, capable of simultaneously launching all riders. Guests will take off from a 114-foot-tall tower in the direction of the High Roller, “flying” 1,121 feet above The LINQ Promenade. High Roller School Field Trips: Only in Las Vegas can students who in kindergarten through eighth grade experience a behind-the-scenes tour of the world’s tallest observation wheel. Concluding with a 30-minute ride on the High Roller, students learn about this engineering marvel. The field trip also includes a Q&A session featuring fun facts about the wheel. High Roller CCSD Promotion (September): Clark County School District teachers can ride High Roller for free throughout the month of September, starting on Sept. 1. CCSD friends and family receive a 50 percent discount with promo code HRTE50.

Bourbon Heritage Month (September): Virgil’s Real BBQ will offer free bourbon tasting classes every Friday in September from 3 to 5 p.m. The Art of Bourbon Tasting Classes will run every 30 minutes and educate BBQ enthusiasts about the world’s finest bourbons. Guests can RSVP at the restaurant’s host desk located in The LINQ Promenade

Mexican Independence Day (Sept. 15): The LINQ Promenade will offer various festivities over two days.

Starting on Sept. 15 – traditional Mexican paper flowers will be passed out to guests starting at 3 p.m. A mariachi band and dancers will perform on the Fountain Stage at 4 p.m., followed by a live mural painting until 11 p.m.

On Sept. 16, entertainment resumes at 4 p.m. with a mariachi band followed by a live broadcast from Real 103.9 FM, concluding with hip-hop artist Olmeca at 8:30 p.m.

Throughout the weekend, multiple Promenade locations will offer food and drink specials including: ameriCAN Cocktails & Beer, Flour & Barley – Brick Oven Pizza, Haute Doggery, Off The Strip Bistro + Bar, O’Sheas Casino and Virgil’s Real BBQ. Chayo’s Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar’s live entertainment will feature an in-house DJ Sept. 14 through Sept. 16 starting at 10 p.m. with a mariachi band performing 3 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 16.

In honor of the occasion the High Roller observation wheel will be lit in red, white and green for the Mexican Independence Day celebration.

National Red Velvet Cake Day (Sept. 18): Sprinkles will offer two free red velvet cupcakes to guests who purchase a layer cake or a dozen cupcakes. Limit one complimentary pair of cupcakes per customer.

Watch NFL, NHL Games at The LINQ Promenade: With more than a dozen dining options ranging from on-the-go, causal eateries to late-night restaurants and bars, sports fans can find a VIP seat at The LINQ Promenade all season long. This dining, retail and entertainment district at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip features a whopping 271 TVs and 303 beers on tap, with more than 700 total beer selections. The NFL kicks off Sept. 6, while the puck drops on the NHL season Oct. 3. The Vegas Golden Knights take the ice on Oct. 4.

Halloween (Oct. 31): The LINQ Promenade and High Roller observation wheel will celebrate Halloween this October with fun and fearsome festivities for families and adults. The High Roller observation wheel will be lit in orange, purple, yellow and black. Additional details will be announced next month.
