Picture the bustling energy of an Asian street market, where the aroma of sizzling skewers and steaming ramen mingles with the chatter of diners savoring freshly made, authentic Asian cuisine. STIX ASIA, the internationally celebrated food hall from Waikiki, is set to make that vision a reality in the heart of Southwest Las Vegas with an early 2026 opening at UnCommons, Matter Real Estate Group‘s transformative lifestyle and business campus.
“STIX ASIA was founded on the idea of creating a space where people can connect over exceptional food and rich cultural experiences; it’s a culinary journey throughout Asia without a passport,” said Frank Clark, the CEO and visionary behind STIX ASIA. “Expanding to Las Vegas, particularly at UnCommons, is an exciting step forward in sharing an array of authentic Asian cuisine under one roof.”
Offering an affordable way to experience the vibrant flavors of Asia, STIX ASIA serves authentic dishes crafted by culinary talents—including award-winning restaurants, making world-class dining widely available.
Spanning 18,000 square feet, STIX ASIA at UnCommons will showcase design that seamlessly combines Asian tradition with modern architecture. Each of the 12 dining concepts will offer a uniquely authentic experience direct from regions throughout Asia, taking diners through an immersive cultural journey with live cooking stations and a celebrated blend of authentic Asian street market culture and inventive dining.
“Our mission has always been to craft more than just a dining experience – we aim to transport guests to the heart of Asia’s rich culinary traditions,” said international entrepreneur Hideyuki Takahashi of VEGAS VEGAS, STIX ASIA’s Tokyo-based parent company. “Las Vegas, with its global reputation for pushing the boundaries of entertainment and dining, is the perfect stage for our next chapter. We’re excited to bring this bold blend of flavor, culture and design to UnCommons.”
The announcement was celebrated with a traditional signing ceremony during Lunar New Year festivities in late January. Takahashi and Clark joined Matter Real Estate Group partners Jim Stuart and Matt Root in a symbolic event underscoring the collaboration’s shared vision of fusing the exceptional cuisine of STIX ASIA with the innovative landscape of UnCommons.
“Southwest Las Vegas, led by UnCommons, has evolved into a thriving epicenter of food, culture and connection,” said Stuart. “STIX ASIA embodies this spirit and meets the desires of the community through world-class Asian cuisine in an immersive, experiential setting at an affordable price. We’re excited to welcome STIX ASIA as a cornerstone of UnCommons.”
STIX ASIA at UnCommons will go beyond dining, offering a rich calendar of events that celebrate the culture and artistry of Asia. They include monthly night markets, cultural festivities for holidays such as Lunar New Year, and live music and other entertainment.
The name “Stix” originates from the iconic, enduring tool for eating – chopsticks. Often underestimated as a simple piece of kitchenware, chopsticks hold deep cultural significance across multiple Asian countries. The two chopsticks together symbolize humility, while their sharp points convey elegance.
