Stance Set to Open Retail Location at Fashion Show Las Vegas on July 27
The new retail location invites shopper to uncover its uncommon line of elevated basics
Stance, the brand known for turning socks into a statement piece, today announced that it will open the doors of its newest retail location at Fashion Show Las Vegas on Friday, July 27. Located on the first level near Saks Fifth Avenue, the store is just the eighth store for the brand, and only its third location in the western United States.
The store opens shortly after Stance launched its first t-shirt collection, solidifying its position as an elevated dual-gender basics brand with extensive collections of casual and performance socks, men’s underwear and women’s intimates, and t-shirts. With the store opening coming on the heels of the first Stance t-shirt release, the Fashion Show location will be one of three store locations where consumers can experience the new collection in its entirety. Comprised of three different types, Stance’s inaugural t-shirt line showcases the brand’s distinct ability to use innovative material science to reimagine a canvas for self-expression.
“It’s an exciting time for us to be opening a new retail location, and we couldn’t be happier to do it in Las Vegas,” said Paul Zaengle, EVP of Direct-to-Consumer at Stance. “We have a large customer base in Clark County with passionate people who have been proudly wearing Stance for years, and with the added benefit of being able to introduce the brand to visitors who come to Vegas from all over the world, we felt like the opportunity at Fashion Show was perfect for us to bring our retail experience to the area.”
Like its counterparts, the Stance store at Fashion Show will offer an eclectic look at its basics collections that are anything but. Known for first injecting art and innovation into the sock category, and with a roster of brand ambassadors known as ‘Punks & Poets,’ the store at Fashion Place will showcase the influence of the Punks & Poets on the brand, and the material science behind its products that its consumers know as much for quality as they do for creativity.
One of the unique features that shoppers will experience at Stance at Fashion Show is Stance Self-Checkout, which is the first true self-checkout solutionrolled out by any retailer globally. Stance Self-Checkout allows customers to completely skip lines or kiosks and purchase items by simply using their smartphone – no app download required. Shoppers simply navigate to a short URL where they easily scan the barcodes on product tags, add them to their cart, and check out using a credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. This means that the customer doesn’t have to download an app, or go to a special kiosk to ring up their purchase, making it the first true hassle-free self-checkout experience anywhere in retail.

The Backstory
After it came to market in 2010, Stance quickly turned the overlooked category of socks into a fashion statement by breathing art and design into an unlikely canvas. As people began taking notice of how Stance was turning the category on its head on the fashion side, the company’s relentless focus on innovation and material science also began to earn the brand major recognition in the performance and sports worlds. The 8-year journey is marked with impressive milestones and multiple firsts for any brand, regardless of industry.
On the fashion and lifestyle side, Stance boasts an impressive list of projects and collaborations, especially in light of its relatively short history. They include having Rihanna as a contributing creative director, and collaborations with brands like Maharishi, Neighborhood Japan, Libertine, New Balance, and Modernica. Additionally, projects with legendary cultural influences like Mark Gonzalez, TDE, and artists like Kevin Lyons and Mister Cartoon, provide a glimpse into the work that has made the brand a go-to choice for original thinkers and creatives.
On the performance side, Stance was the first brand to have its logo appear on any piece of the NBA’s official uniform. It was named the league’s on-court sock for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, and is still the official casual sock of the NBA. A year after the NBA designation, Stance was chosen as the official sock of Major League Baseball, and is currently worn on-field by every team in MLB.
Quickly regarded as a must-have amongst cultural influencers and top athletes across multiple genres, and with a growing list of “best of” accolades, the company has drawn an iconic group of personalities to its roster of ‘Punks & Poets,’ including skateboarders Nora Vasconcellos and Ishod Wair, NBA legends and future legends Allen Iverson, Dwyane Wade, James Harden and Donovan Mitchell, MLB American League MVP Jose Altuve, two-time Masters Champion Bubba Watson, world-renowned mountaineer and photographer Jimmy Chin, back-to-back World Surf League Champion John John Florence, Transworld Rider of the Year Louif Paradis, and US track-and-field pioneer Lauren Fleshman.
