Holiday Extravaganza Featuring Decorative Displays, Live Music, Santa’s Village and More to Be Held Friday and Saturday Nights, 5 to 8 p.m.
The iconic Southfork Ranch of TV’s “Dallas” series fame will present its second annual “A Southfork Christmas” on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 8 p.m. this holiday season. The event, which will feature tours of the Ewing Mansion, themed displays, stagecoach rides for children and a live animal manger and more, begins Friday, Nov. 28 and runs through Saturday, Dec. 20. A Southfork Christmas is appropriate for all ages.
Additional activities include at A Southfork Christmas include:
- Appearances by Santa, Mrs. Claus and Happy the Elf in the Santa’s Village
- Face painting
- Cookie decorating
- Scenes from iconic Christmas movies
- Letter-writing to Santa
- Live Texas “Reinsteer”
- Toys for Tots collection (guests encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift to donate)
- Pet photos with Santa on Saturdays throughout the event
Scheduled live entertainment includes:
- Friday, Nov. 28: Jake and Elwood Blues from “Briefcase Blues,” a tribute to the Blues Brothers with the Texas Bluesmobile
- Friday, Dec. 5: Cherish Lee (daughter of “Dallas” star Charlene Tilton) and Matt Dunn perform country and classic Christmas tunes
- Friday, Dec. 12: “Cowboy Christmas” Yancey, Singing Cowboy and s’mores over an open fire

ABOUT SOUTHFORK RANCH
Southfork Ranch provided the iconic backdrop for the 1978 to 1991 “Dallas” TV series that aired on CBS and in 95 countries around the world. Tours depart the Visitor’s Center every 30 to 45 minutes and run continuously throughout the day. The last guided tour of the day begins at 4:30 p.m. daily (2:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve). Chuckwagon barbecue dinners may be arranged for groups of 20 or more. Admission rates are $13.50 for adults, $11.50 for senior citizens, $8.50 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under.
