Huntington Beach, California’s (hed) p.e. (the “pe” stands for “Planet Earth”) were founded in 1994 by frontman Jahred (aka M.C.U.D. aka Jared Gomes), whose goal was to fuse the region’s long-standing punk rock heritage with G-funk-inflected hip-hop — a sound he labeled “G-punk.” The group found mainstream success in the early 2000s via their second and third albums, Broke and Blackout, both of which were released by Jive Records. A move to indie label Suburban Noize yielded the 9/11 Truth Movement concept LP New World Orphans, and in 2019 the eclectic rockers issued their tenth studio long-player, Stampede. The returned in 2022 with the release of Califas Worldwide.

Crazy Town’s music and image reflected one of the most dynamic and volatile sociocultural environments on the planet — Los Angeles — where the urban squalor of the South Central district exists just minutes away from the glitz of Beverly Hills. Spearheaded by a team of producers/vocalists, Seth “Shifty Shellshock” Binzer and Bret “Epic” Mazur, Crazy Town combined hip-hop’s lyrical attitude and rhythmic sass with the muscle of live rock instrumentation. The combination yielded the group a number one hit in 2001, when “Butterfly” topped the Billboard 100 and helped push the band’s debut effort, The Gift of Game, to platinum status.

Adema is a post-grunge, alternative metal band with heavy electronica influence who began their musical adventure together in 1998 in Bakersfield and as their original lineup of Dave DeRoo, Kris Kohls, Mike Ransom, Tim Fluckey, and Mark Chavez released full-length albums Adema, Unstable, and EP Insomniac’s Dream. During this time they found themselves sharing the stage alongside of some of rock’s biggest acts at the time. 2010 brought their first reunion as the original five members, with the band releasing its first major single in 2021.

Ask anyone who has ever been in a band, and they’ll tell you.  Being in a band is hard.  Making it work for 20 years?  That is really, really hard. That has certainly been the case for the once Louisville, KY-based metal band FLAW.  FLAW’s story began with the independent release of homegrown albums American Arrogance (1996), Flaw (1998) and Drama (2000).  It was the songs on these recordings that garnered the attention of Universal Republic Records, who signed the band and released the breakthrough album Through The Eyes in 2001. The offering topped the Billboard “Heatseekers” chart, largely fueled by the singles “Payback” and “Whole.”  The band has seen multiple lineup changes over the years, however the core of Chris Volz’s vocals has remained as the creative driving force and is poised to re-emerge on the strength of their finest set of recordings to date.  The band has signed a deal with Pavement Entertainment and released Divided We Fall in 2016. FLAW’s most recent album, Vol IV: Because Of The Brave, was released in 2019.

Never Ending Last Words a/k/a N.E. Last Words around Las Vegas, formed in 2010 with an extreme sound and a dominant stage presence. This group has a musical style consisting of Rock with an accentuation on Rap, as well as the rudiments of Funk and Punk Rock, which gives them a unique and distinct sound.
