GRAMMY Award-nominated rapper Afroman is bringing his 50th birthday celebration and concert to Backstage Bar & Billiards (601 E. Fremont St.) in Downtown Las Vegas. Presented by SmashMagPresents.com, Afroman will perform Thursday, July 25 2024, alongside special guests Eddie Fuse, Lil Tytan, Check The Star, Shady and Penwood. Tickets start at $20 plus applicable fees for general admission standing room only and are on sale now at smashmagpresents.com. Guests must be 21 years or older. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Comedic rapper Afroman first broke through in 2000 with his ubiquitous stoner-lifestyle anthem “Because I Got High,” bringing his songs of wit, weed, and deep-fried funk to the masses. Afroman’s signature song had a remarkable shelf life and was used in various films and television productions over the years. Far from a one-hit wonder, however, Afroman’s discography is deep, spanning from tapes and CDs he self-released in the late ’90s through to highlights like 2008’s Frobama and 2016’s Crazy Rap.
