SLICE OF VEGAS INTRODUCES NEW MENU ITEMS

Slice of Vegas at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place introduced new items to their already expansive Italian menu. The pizzeria has launched fresh offerings with updated appetizers, pizzas, burgers and a brand new drink menu with a variety of cocktails and throwback beers.

A highlight of the appetizer selection are the Lamb Sliders, featuring a bacon jam spread on Kings Hawaiian roles, the Jalapeño Mac & Cheese served in a an herbed olive oil bread bowl with a fried jalapeño on the side and the Mussels in a spicy tomato sauce with fresh herbs and paired with a toasted crostini. Additions to the pizza offerings include the It’s All Greek to Me Pie topped with herbed oil sauce, gyro meat, mozzarella and feta cheese, fresh tomatoes and olives, crisped cucumbers with a creamy tzatziki sauce as well as The Tuscan Pizza made with a rich garlic alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, roasted potatoes and sausages, sweet caramelized onions and shaved fennel. Diners can also choose to build their own pies with 36 toppings ranging from the classic pepperoni or mushrooms to shaved fennel and truffle oil.

Burgers and sandwiches also have a spot on the Slice of Vegas menu with the Swiss’Rooms Burger, a brioche bun filled with a ½-pound short rib/chuck patty topped with crispy jalapeño bacon, Swiss cheese, fresh lettuce and herb roasted tomato and a zesty mushroom ragu sauce and Who’s Reuben? Sandwich combining corned beef, a creamy thousand island made in house and topped with sauerkraut and Swiss cheese on a pretzel bun.

In addition to more than 45 beer selections, brew enthusiasts can take a step back in time with a throwback drafts that were established more than 100 years ago such as the legendary Schlitz and Hamm’s along with beer-of-the-month specials. A classic update to an adult libation with the Not Your Father’s Root Beer, an alcoholic brew that can also be turned into a float. Wine, time-honored cocktails, mules, mojitos and signature sips served in a Slice of Vegas souvenir glass round out the drink selections. Alongside the regular happy hour Monday-Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. featuring half-off a selection of appetizers, house wine and certain brews, the Italian restaurant introduces a reverse happy hour from 10 p.m. to close with 50 percent off drafts and appetizers. Pro-football beer and shot special round out the season’s additions.
