LADY REBELS HOST WOLVERINES IN AFTERNOON TIP

UNLV, Utah Valley square off at 4 p.m. Wednesday

UNLV goes for 3-0 for the first time in five seasons when it hosts Utah Valley Wednesday afternoon at the Cox Pavilion.

Tip-off is 4 p.m.

UNLV led wire-to-wire, defeating Utah Valley 73-63 in Orem, Utah, last year. It was the first meeting between the two programs.

UNLV returns 91 percent of its scoring from the team that swept the 2022 Mountain West Conference regular-season and tournament championships. UNLV is predicted to top the league again in 2023.

Junior center Desi-Rae Young was selected as the conference’s preseason player of the year. Fellow Las Vegan Essence Booker joined Young on the five-member Preseason All-Mountain West Team.

Fan-favorite Justice Ethridge, 3-point shooting leader Alyssa Durazo-Frescas and reigning Mountain West Sixth Player of the Year Nneka Obiazor are all league award winners returning to the lineup this season.
